What Freetown events need from a 360 booth

The lights go out mid-reception

Grid outages are routine in Freetown. A booth that needs mains power stops when the hall goes dark. Ours runs on its own backup supply.

Rain from May to November

Freetown gets about 4,400 mm of rain a year. Outdoor setups need a covered fallback planned in advance, not on the day.

Cross-town traffic

Wilkinson Road and Kissy Road can add an hour between East and West End. Setup is timed so the booth is ready before guests arrive.

Big guest lists

Sierra Leonean celebrations draw big crowds. A photographer cannot reach every table; a booth station can.

How we handle a Freetown booking

  1. Send your date

WhatsApp your date, venue and hours. We check the date and the route to your Freetown venue.

  2. Written quote

Choose hours, overlay and extras. The total, including travel, comes in writing before you pay.

  3. Early setup

We leave in time for cross-town traffic, then build, power-check and test before guests arrive.

  4. Videos on the night

Guests share their clips by QR code, and the host receives the full set afterwards.

Working events across Freetown

Freetown runs from the East End around Kissy and Wellington, through Central and Brookfields, to the West End at Wilberforce, Aberdeen and Lumley. Each part of the city books the booth differently. West End events are often hotel ballrooms and beachfront terraces with generators already on site. Central and East End receptions are more often community halls, church halls and family compounds, where the booth's own backup power does more of the work.

The road between them shapes the day. Wilkinson Road and Kissy Road carry most cross-town traffic, and an afternoon trip from Kissy to Aberdeen can take far longer than the distance suggests. For an evening reception, the booth is loaded and on the road early, so setup and testing finish before doors open rather than while guests queue.

Weather is the other planning factor. Freetown is one of the wettest capitals in West Africa, with a rainy season from May to November and the Harmattan bringing dry, dusty air from December to February. Rainy-season events go under cover. In Harmattan months, dust is the thing to watch: the lens and ring light need wiping between sessions so it does not soften the video.

Setting up in Central and East End venues

Church and mosque halls

Many Central and East End receptions move straight from the service into the hall next door. These rooms are often long and narrow, so the booth goes at the far end from the high table, where the queue does not block the aisle. Halls rarely have spare sockets near the stage, which is where the booth's own power helps.

Community and civic halls

Larger halls in Brookfields and Kingtom take big guest lists but can be hot and crowded by mid-evening. Placing the booth near a door or window keeps the queue moving and the ring light from adding to the heat around guests on the platform.

Family compounds and yards

In Kissy, Wellington and the hillside neighbourhoods, celebrations often happen at home. The platform needs a level, firm patch about 3 m by 3 m. On sloping or uneven ground, we look at photos first and plan the spot before the day.

Offices and event rooms downtown

Around Siaka Stevens Street, corporate events and launches use conference rooms and rooftops. Lift access, parking and loading times matter more here than space, so tell us the building and floor when you ask for a quote.

360 photo booth questions in Freetown

How much does a 360 photo booth cost in Freetown?

The price depends on hire length, overlay design and extras such as a red carpet. Current Freetown prices are on the packages page, and the cost estimator gives a figure for your hours without a phone call. Travel inside Freetown is quoted with the package.

Do you cover East End venues like Kissy and Wellington?

Yes. The booth covers venues across Central and East End Freetown, including Brookfields, Congo Cross, Kingtom, Fourah Bay, Kissy and Wellington. West End areas such as Aberdeen, Lumley and Wilberforce have their own pages.

Will the booth keep working if the venue loses power?

Yes. The booth runs on its own backup power, so it keeps recording through a grid outage while the venue switches to its generator.

Can the booth be set up outdoors in Freetown?

Yes, on level, firm ground. From May to November plan a covered spot, because Freetown rain can arrive quickly. Beach and garden setups work best in the dry season from December to April.

How far ahead should I book for a Freetown event?

Book as soon as your date and venue are fixed. Saturday dates are the first to go, so a fixed date is worth securing early.
